michael
Are Titan really the only people who make these for the 2JZ? http://www.titanmotorsports.com/timobimacafo.html Just something that's on my list but I like to explore all the options, in this case there don't seem to be any but I wondered if anyone knew otherwise
Gaz Walker
Nope - a company makes them for Titan, the same company sells them to PHR and others. FYI unless you can get the block line bored by a CNC machine and not by traditional methods - I wouldn't bother. Tuesday tip for you Gaz.

Gaz Walker
What's the thinking behind this? I like tips but I like explanations of them too Well, we firmly believe our spun bearing was due to this. I could also speculate on two other engines gone this way that I know of and also I know Leon had problems. It doesn't happen in the US often because they use CNC machines to do it which offer far more accuracy. Regards, Gaz.
Chris Wilson
Fitting any DIFFERENT main, rod or cam cap means the item it's attached to will need line boring and honing to size. You CANNOT, MUST NOT fit different caps and expect the main journals to be either to size, or in line. So buying the caps is the cheap bit. Do you need them? IMO no, not even on big HP motors, the stock caps should be fine, spend the money on a decent crank.
