terribleturner
....And i was the ball. On my way into work today and was about 300yards from work. There was a white van in the middle lane and a silver newish Mercedes in the outside lane. As they were going slightly slower than me i proceeded to filter between the two. Got just up to the front passenger door of the merc and he decideds he's going to close the gap and knock me into the white van. I bounced between the 2 about 3/4 times before i was able to pull ahead and away. Pulled to the inside lane to check my leg as i'd hit it and the merc just kept going. No idea what happened to the van as i just had the mercedes on my mind. As i was alright and the bike was fine i didn't pursuit him and just got to work. Was a great start to the day. JustGav
Bloody hell chap... You don't need that sort of stuff when you are on 4 wheels, never mind 2.. Take it easy and remember rule #0 about driving - 'Everyone else is an idiot and they WILL do the idiotic thing, so expect it'

Rob
Are you saying that you banged into both vehicles and neither of them stopped?? H. I suspect the merc driver would have stopped if he'd just been drifting lanes, whereas I also suspect he knew full well he was trying to squeeze the motorbike and when it all went "pear" he just scarpered. Dangerous driving, intent to cause ABH, it's never stand up in court but he's legged it anyway. Reminded me of a time on the A2 through Eltham (heavy traffic, 10 mph in outer lane) where this guy in front of me was intent on stopping the bikers from squeezing down the middle. He kept moving over more and more and every time he got so far over into the middle, I'd deliberately make a dive up his RH side so he had to swerve back over to prevent me from overtaking him, then he'd be back on the bikers again. The traffic was stop start and I was trying to pressure him so much that I thought he must either snap, or he'll bump into the cars in front. He was a real road-captain. He was trying to make other peoples lives more difficult, so I had to return the favour.
