IceMan
As the topic says! My Supra is original Jap spec and has black plastic trin underneath the door sills. On the dirver side it's come unclipped at the front (I think by mud build-up, damn the countryside where I live!). It looks like the trim has to be slid in from the back into the clip however... so I undid all the 5 bolts holding the trim on... and was completely unable to remove it! So, anyone got any tips/links to diagrams/etc? It's looking like one of those simple yet PITA things to fix! Ice
IceMan
If anyone here's added side-skirts to their car it's likely that they know something about this... Ice
carl0s
it's doable, but it's a fucking nightmare. I really lost my rag with mine, but got it in the end. One sort of clips into the other, then they slide into the "lips" of the transparent clips that are in the metal. You'll get there. Oh, you should also notice that these clips (the transparent ones) are tapered.. they're not square, so decide which way is gonna work best. It was an absolute nightmare though. Once you have those clips in, they're a bugger to get back out. Good luck!
carl0s
in the end I think I'd decided that the best idea would have been to slide the clips into the plastic trim, then bash the trim into place so as to force the clips into the body, but in practice I can't remember exactly how I ended up doing it...
