dibbleyuk
Is it worth having an electric fan fitted and removing the one thats connected to the engine. i know my cousin put one on his heavily moddified 200sx to save abit of drag on the engine are these worth having he also got a HKS fan controller aswell. Robert
Wouldn't think so mate, the stock fan is very very good. At most it would only free a few HP, not worth the expense.
VELOCITY
I have the power house racing electric fans, dont think it makes much improvement but as the viscous coupling went on my stock fan this was a cheaper solution.

VELOCITY
There is a non polished shroud available for cheaper, dont know about bhp increase but the stock fans and viscous unit is bloody heavy!
Tricky-Ricky
Apart from a bit of extra space, the only other advantage of running electric fans is being able to select the temp at which they come on and off, the std one is very efficient. And having the ability to cool after shutdown when the coolant may continue to flow due to thermosyphoning (only occurs if the rad continues to have airflow)
