neilg
How do you do it? May sound stupid but i have a tray for the space and then a single din head unit. Are you supposed to mount behind the hole as its too small to push in from the front? If this is the case how do you put the facia surround on. Am i just been really daft? can someone please help me as its going in tomorrow Cheers people
lovatt
all the front dash panels have to come off, its not hard, instructions are on http://www.mkiv.com once you have them off the radio is bolted in to a frame
Lazarus
Just fitted a Sony CDX-M8800, both stereo and pocket mount up to the back of the dash panel not through the front so you can't use the facia surround, but on the Sony it still looks fine. You will have to source suitable screws for the pocket (5mm Dia self tappers I think) and be careful of what screws you use in the head unit, in my case the existing screws in the original unit wouldn't fit the new. Once you get the dash panel off it will all become clear, simple bolt in job. PS. I expect a Mod will move this thread to the sounds system forum:D
