JustGav
Something like a proper wheel sealant and some polish will give you a head start but you will need to stay on top of it to ensure that the brake dust doesn't get a chance to settle. 2JZ-GTE-IS200
theres stuff available in the US which is fantastic, called "Mothers". try and get hold of some, i got some bottles for friends a few years ago, and they thought the stuff knocked spots off other chrome protectorant

JustGav
I use the poorboys wheel sealant, which is good but certainly not a bullet proof way.....
Gazzawu
zoopseal from envyperformance will do the job. ask gaz. However its quite expensive and its a pain in the behind to apply the stuff

colsoop
What phoenix says a good sealant will help but it needs to be applied religously every week ! I managed to keep a set of polished aluminium wheels clean and shiny with waxes and sealants - daily driver throughout winter
jamesmark
Cheers guys. The car covers appx 2000miles a year if it is lucky, and cleaning is not an issue lol I will look into that thing from envy. Col what did you use any more tips? or did what you used is it no good for chrome? Cheers
colsoop
I used the same waxes and sealants that i put on my cars paintwork. Klasse sealant glaze followed by p21 s carnauba wax. It is a bit expensive to buy just for your wheels so i would go with a wheel sealant "poorboys" is good. (im pretty sure Peter richards stocks this) You just want to stop salt and brake dust settling on the surface so need a good barrier which the wheel sealant will provide.
