neilg
Hi everyone, been and picked my car up today but im needing a few questions answering. 1.what kind of rear spat is this as i need one and where can i get one from (fast) 2. Is slip control traction control? 3. What does flashing overdrive light mean? 4. How do you adjust a HKS sequential bov and what does the adjustment do? 5.There is a HKS exhaust on the car (not sure what kind, its stainless and has a huge single pipe running from the cat back to a backbox which just clips on) my question is which will be louder the HKS one or the Blitz nur i have bought for it? Think thats it for the moment but im going to have a seach round for the other bits i need. Help appriciated as its going for MOT tomorrow then my bits all have to go on it. lovatt
1.its a trd spat (optional toyota) try Miami GT 2.yes 3. not 100% sure on this one, something to do with a traction control fault, often means its bean removed for RLTC 4. dont adjust it, its set to your car from the hks factory 5.yours looks like a hyper (i think) and that would be louder than nur spec hope this helps a bit
Jake
1, Yeah it's a Toyota OEM spat (They aren't TRD are they?). Try PM'ing matt. I've got a funny feeling he might have a spare OS one going spare. 2, It's Toyota's special crap version of Traction Control 3, On my car it meant the SLD was faulty. 4, How? There's an adjusting screw on it (I think). 5, I don't know, never had either of those.
neilg
Cheers lovatt and jake, i have started a new thread with a couple of better pics of the exhaust. As for the BOV there is a screw on the back of it just didnt know what it would do if i altered it (didnt want to break anything)
Willson
Well Im gonna say it, its been buggin me for a while They are NOT TRD Spats. TRD do not make any spats ! They are Toyota OEM spats or copies. Oh and yeah, Miami sell them (copies), but for some reason call them TRD ! edit - same for the skirts too ! Bobbeh
Maybe TRD sounds better than OEM

suprz_rz
re: flashing overdrive light/slip cont light and warning triangle If this is a fresh import from Jap, then you want to check all your fluids, Oil water etc.. Mine did this on the way back from southampton, and I thought it was buggered, but as soon as I got her home, I checked fluids anyway, and found that they were drianed for the journey on the boat, as well as no petrol in tank. One oil and coolant change later, and no more flashing light problems.
neilg
Different but ill give it a go, cheers
CJ
When I picked mine up, I had the same problems with flashing lights and also the warning triangle on It turned out to be a badly fitted speed adjuster that was done by the clowns at the SVA station. suprz_rz
Mine was fresh from the boat, no one even looked at it before I did. There must be a speed de-limiter fitted, as mine isnt limited, but that was done in Jap. There a a few things that can cause warning lights, but having o/drive light or traction light flashing usually means the ECU is unhappy about somthing and it is running in basic "get you home mode"
