IT help needed - hard disk partitioning

Bob

Recommended Posts

When I reinstalled windows on my new hdd (some years ago now), it would only let me set the primary partition to about 20gb. Which has been fine for what I use it fo, but I have a seperate partition with 86gb free, doing absolutely sod all. I use it for storing movies, music, etc.

But now I'm running out of space on the primary partition, and cos all my programmes are installed there, some games/progs/etc. won't run happily if I install them to the D: drive (2nd partition).

Is there any way I can merge the two, or shuffle a bit of free space from the secondary to the primary?

Much obliged, I lost contact with technology some years ago and am now sliding towards a grandad-like understanding of computers :) Long live DOS, I say!
