lightwave
Can anyone recommend a strut brace for the rear of the car? Obviously the TRD front strut brace is great, but there's no rear one... and they seem hard to find full stop. Anyone got one and would recommend it? Where can I find them btw? Nic
I have a Cusco carbon fibre rear brace fitted, it is very good quality. Use to get a slight creak from rear door over speed bumps, the brace cured this. http://www.cusco.co.jp/english/e_cont.html

lightwave
That's cool, thanks. I saw quite a few on MVPmotorsports site, and thought the Cusco one looks good in CF, so it's nice to have someone with something to say about it. Thank you! (I'll probably get this one)
lightwave
In fact, what prompted me to look for one was the creaking I get from my rear suspension... which might not be the suspension at all. It could be the boot seals, which I hear is common. But if it fixes it, then that's just splendo!
Nic
It is probably a good idea to replace the boot rubbers first, this should quieten things down on an uneven surface. Driving over speed bumps on a slight angle use to twist the rear door slightly which caused the creak. The carbon firbre/aluminium Cusco brace is very stiff and light weight. You'll need to cut slots in the plastic trim that covers the tops of the suspension to get the brace to fit, if you want I'll try to post some photos of mine installed tomorrow. lightwave
Thanks so much Nic, that'll be wonderful. I saw the thread recently on changing the boot rubbers. Some photos will be nice though, cos I still want to get the strut brace. Cheers,
nigelc
Recently fitted a Cusco rear (not the carbon fibre) that I got from SRB Power Limited. Very fast service from them, call Dan on 01375 404601 or check the traders section.
