Fan and A/C Stopped Working

Hi All,

 

All of a sudden my fan and A/C have stopped working. The first time it didnt work, I was just fiddling with the controls and it suddenly kicked into life. Now it won't come on at all. I have checked all fuses etc and everything looks fine. The lights on the fan control panel are still on, and I can here parts moving when I select different areas for the fan. Also the engine rev's higher when I click on the A/C button, although nothing comes out.

 

Can anyone suggest something else that I can check. ?

If it didnt work at all and then worked perfectly and then didnt work at all it sounds like a dodgy connection somewhere. If the fan isnt receiving the signal to work or the power to make it work then it simply wont work. The control box is the easiest bit to get at and dare I say if it worked when you fiddled with it there may be a dry joint or iffy connection on that. Do a search for how to remove the dash panels and just looksee if anything appears untowards on the back of the heater control box. failing that someone local might have a spare one you could slave in to eliminate the control box. I used to have a spare but it went for destructive testing lol. If its the heater motor good luck with that cos I took one out of a car that i had crowbarred the dash off of and it was still a git to get out.
