stuohy
A couple of weeks ago I picked up a diesel Fiesta for £380. Had to get a new starter and battery, but saves me a fortune in fuel every week! Also, I don't care if someone opens a door into it at the supermarket etc. Thanks for all the advice I got a couple of weeks ago regarding this
RedM
Are you still quids in when you factor the insurance, MOT, tax and other running costs?
stuohy
Most certainly... I've figured that if the car runs successfully for 1 month I'll have broken even, so it's all gravy
RobSheffield
I bought a Pug 405 with 4 month tax and MOT for £300, had a fault on the fuel system fixed with a £20 part, insurance costs £30 extra per year, and it runs forever on £10 of fuel
RedM
So, it makes sense if your Supra is off the road but as a second car what are the savings like?
flukey-lukey
I bought a daewoo nexia 1.5 P reg last week for £500. FSH, 2 owners from new. Costs £14.08 per month to insure and £20 fuel goes a long long way! I bought it to use as my supra is off road at the moment, but I think I'll keep it and use it for going to work and back, will save a small fortune on petrol as I do around 25 miles to and from work everyday. Millsy
I've been thinking about getting a cheap, reliable runaround but need to do quite a few motorway miles. Is the Fiesta a good bet? Or does it feel like you're killing the car if you sit at 80mph?

I wish I bought one when I had my FTO as well.

Now it starts without problem, it's a nice little car
