Jason
I have fitted new water temp, oil temp and oil pressure gauges today. I just wondered now that I have all pretty lights and numbers in front of me, what are the correct values for each of the gauges? My car is a standard J-Spec if that should make any difference. Thanks, Jason
Rory
Did you find it difficult to tap into oil and water feeds for the senders? This is something I would like to do at some point.
Jason
I used a sandwich plate for the oil senders, but becaue I have stainless pipes, I had to have a nut welded on for the water sender to screw into.
AlanM
Did you get the sandwich plate from eBay, one with 4 points for offtake of readings?
Jason
I got the plate from Nick at http://www.gaugeplace.co.uk It is the one with 4 points and comes with blanking screws aswell.
AlanM
is there o-rings on the blanking screws? And why would anyone want 4 points?
Jason
I put PTFE tape on the screws and senders, there is 4 holes so that the sendres are easy to put in and get to when you connect the wires. But, does anybody know what the true readings should be?
