Fog lights

Bad fog the other night and had to drive out into the Fenns - flat and horrible where fog can sit as heavily as it likes. Never needed the fog lights before but noticed a switch under the dash so flipped it and it appears that the rear fog is actually in the rear cluster. To be honest I didn't think I had a rear as I thought Jap imports all had to have them fitted when they came to the UK, or did Supras actually have them built in?

to enable the car to be MOTd all cars would need a rear fog light..

Some go for a cheapo attachment light and others go for integrating it into the rear cluster.

The UKspecs have them as part of the rear cluster as standard.

J-Specs don't come with fog lights as they don't have to have them in Japan. I think the UK spec does that so maybe you've got UK spec lights?

 

Mine's in at the moment having the wiring conversion done so it lights up in the rear cluster.

 

How many rear lights are on normally? Is it one per cluster or 2 per cluster? Just curious as to how it's working.

I'll check how many lights come on for you. I think it's two per cluster.

To be fair my rear lights look quite newish so maybe a previous owner fitted UK spec ones.

Do the lenses go orange-red-red-clear (lens colour from the outside) which are J-spec, or orange-red-clear-red which are uk spec. There are several wiring conversions on here to fit a fog light into a j-spec cluster.

My rear fog light is by the rear number plate, sunk into the bumper
