hodge
Bit of a trivial 1 here. My question is can silicone hose be glued. sound stupid but heres the crack. Ive just bought a carbon bonnet from monstermods, ive mirrored/chrome filmed the underneath (really looks the biz) but for the washer jets the holes are there but the pipe wont conseal inside the bonnet like a standard bonnet. So, Ive got some blue silicone hose to use, but am wondring how to fix it the the bonnet as I dont wnt to have to use little clamps and screws to the underneath. Was just hoping I could just use a bit of the old locktite to hold it in place. Any thoughts.
MarkTheBoy
Should be alright I would have thought, two pack superglue would be good enough. Maybe use a hot glue gun?
Kranz
There's not much that'll permenantly stick to silicone hose as its slippery as fu*k. Superglue may work if you sand the hose before sticking it on, but a good high modulus RTV like loctite 5900 or 5910 will stick anything.... and as its silicone it'll stick to silicone Edit - They even do one in blue to match blue silicone - Loctite
LeeT
you can buy little self adhesive clips which allow you to run a cable tie through them. They only cost pennies. I would have thought that Halfords sell them, if not Maplins
