psymon
My Misses has her own business, Domestic cleaning company. She employs 10 girls and everything has been great for the last couple of years. Some customers are fickle and other peoples circomestances changes so there is a proportation of turn around of clients, although there are also the ones that can afford it. But recently its been goin down hil abit. She has lost quite a few customers, not sure if its interest rates etc.. Buts it not the service. My question to you guys is there any goverment grants, loans available to her, or EU handouts. She enjoys what she does buts she's getting depressed now..... She had a grant from local goverment of 750 pounds 3 years ago. Is there anything that we can apply for..... Cheers guys Si
Gaz Walker
To do what though - theres loads of grants available but you actually have to do something to get the money. They rarely give it away for nothing. Unless she wants to rope her staff into medical experiments, consumer testing etc Gaz.
psymon
For example She wants to go into bulider cleans (good money in it) but the staff either require to have an nvq or be on the nvq for training, not sure which one it is. But she has to pay for the training. If you see what i mean

If you see what i mean I may be getting the wrong end of the stick here, but please tell me you're not seriously suggesting that people now have to have qualifications for cleaning! Yep, Business Link would be the best bet. Though I would recommend doing something sooner rather than later. The government has plans on cutting back on funding to Business Link and in turn Enterprise Agencies. Our one could stand to lose almost £250,000 a year
