Fitting Blitz SBC-ID

SkyJawa

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Right - its not a Supra, its for the Skyline :p  but I'm hoping you guys can help with fitting as the liner lot aren't very forthcoming :( Seems more SBC-ID's are fitted to supra's than skylines.

The instructions are very vague with the twin turbo setup. I'm sure the supra must be similar to the skyline. What happens with regards to the stock solenoid, is it completely removed from the loop? Also, the electrical connections only show ground and it says 12v ignition on. I take it that means to connect it up to the switched power, eg only on when ignition is? If this is the case how does the unit remember the settings?

Any other general fitting tips would be most appreciated to :p

Cheers

Neil

Stock solenoid gets bypassed. Red is to ignition on so I guess it holds power somehow for memory via a battery?

Neil if you want to know more mate post up on the 300 forum, they will help you.

Hardest bit of install is getting the loom through, once thats done its all plain sailing.

gtr.co.uk mainly.

I've stuck a post up on Skylineowners.com and done a search on skylinesdownunder.

There seems to be much more techy stuff available for the supra than the liner, what with here, mkiv.com etc. In fact, there doesn't even seem to be an american skyline version of mkiv.com........

Good idea about the 300 boys, didn't think of that - cheers chaps :)

Is that because the Skyline's were only ever made in RHD ?

(I seem to remember reading a US mag where they talked about not being arsed to do the conversion, however, I know there are a small number of tuning shops that have done this)
