Branners Posted August 8, 2001 Share Posted August 8, 2001 I think Toyota were also struggling to meet emissions regulations which is why the VVTi was introduced along with OBDII. They stopped it in the UK in 96 and the states in 98 but were still building them up until the middle of 2000. Toyota are going to have to introduce something as a performance model to tie in with their entry into F1, otherwise the top of the range sports car will be the Celica....
