It will look empty when not running. To check, run the engine put air con on flat out, rpm at 2000 for about a minute or so. Any bubbles should be gone by then. If not or you see nothing at all you need some more gas.

 

 

You can only use the coolant designed for the system don't stick R134a in a R12 system unless you want a huge bill.

How do you know if its got R12 or R134A in the system?

im glad you said that i was just about to ask the same thing seen as i have your old car.

 

so what does it mean then cause the revs do go up but no cold air comes out, so what would cause that???
