Up in the top right above the brake system, is a black box with 3 pipes going into it - brake pipes i assume. As i went to close the bonnet (it had been open for about 1hr) - i could here this fast fairly quite ticking sound. If i wiggled one of the pipes it stopped. I gave everything a wiggle and could stop it, but as soon as i let go it started again. Theres no leaks visible, cracks/breaks etc.... Any help appreciated. Dean.. It's supposed to filter off noxious emmisions from a few places, one of them being petrol fumes from the tank. Guest Ash Posted July 28, 2001 Share Posted July 28, 2001 That's normal, they do make a tick-ticking noise occasionally. It's just venting pressure back from the fuel-tank through a one-way valve.
