Dragonball
Yes - I know it's an age away But basically have been looking at Deauville - which is just near the Normandy Beach landings etc for a venue for a weekend trip later in the year It's basically 180 miles down the coast from Calais and I thought it might be an idea to go on a Friday morning and stop for lunch on the way down there etc Normal stuff - stay over and come back up for the Sunday trip home More of a spirited drive then our normal trip - but well within reach. AA says it is 3 hours What do you think? Costs would be the extra nights accommodation plus petrol on top of the normal dragonball!
ivan
Sounds good to me - hopefully the weather will be nicer than last May.
Gerry
As you say, it's a long way away, but a three-dayer sounds a good idea, not so rushed as a blast there one day and back the next.
