Rob
I recently bought tyres for the rear, about 2 months ago, 225s, but now I need fronts. Can I just move rear wheels to front, and buy some wider 245 for the rear? or do I have to cross them side to side as well as rear to front? Scooter
if you've been running 225 on 16" x 8" allround then yep you can move them up to the front. You should be able to pick up some 16" x 9" 's for next to nothing if you want to fill the arches more, rather than just putting 245's on the 8's............ Rob
Oh, you mean, bigger stock wheels as well.
Scooter
yep. my first NA had all 8" wide 16's on it and gettting 9's for the back definitely 'butched' it up a bit. Whole sets of 16's seem to go for very little money. I'll have a set soon, but they are in the gunmetal finish (and flakey laquer etc) so probably aren't any use at all and will be going in the skip more than likely! dangerous brain
I have 2 back silver 16"s if you want them. I also have a full set of gunmetals that similarly to scooters are in need of some TLC. If nothing else its handy to have a couple of full spares knocking around. PS first check and see what size wheels you currently have you may find someone has just put the wrong size tyre on the back. Its written on the rim and is easy to see.
