Help, no speedo!

Took the car out earlier in the week to discover the speedometer needle doesn't move at all. :( I've got all the dash out at the moment and all the soldered connections from the kph converter are fine (this was done a year and a half ago anyway). I've also removed the actual speedo unit and to the naked eye everything looks ok. Does anyone have the resistance tolerances for the components or any other ideas? Am I right in thinking the fuse serving the speedo is no. 14 in the kick panel box?

Help!

Same here!

also twas speed convertor (well,.. sensor on the gearbox)

Doubt your OD works if you have an auto too.

Have you driven over 120mph on a private road to see if its still limited?

(yes, I know its hard to tell if the speedo's fcuked)

Some imports have cheep speed convertors that are prone to failure after a while. Pete @ Thor sorted mine and fitted a SLD

Speedo works fine with the converter bypassed. I'm quite annoyed at now having to shell out another £120 for another one after just over a year. :complain:

Speak to Pete @ Thor about it, sounds like it could have just 'lost' its programming and could be re-programmed for little/zero cost - if you ask nicely I'm sure Pete will be helpful, he was when I bought mine and had issues getting it to work (turned out it wasn't programmed at all!)
