garetheves
Got the latest DIVX codecs but for some reason films just arent playing on my computer recently. I just get a green screen. Also happened with that 3d image of an engine the other day. Had to watch it at work. Anyone has any ideas what it could be? Have tried with different players but no change. colsoop
Did you uninstall the old codecs ? You might have corrupted one when installing the new ones.

Mike
slightly off topic but I've been trying to get a copy of the first episode of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.... every time it goes off to find the codec, fails and then I just get the sound track.... I've got all the new codecs I'm fairly sure....

aido
Maybe try using the VLC player if you're not already, you can get it from http://www.videolan.org - you want the VLC client - it has the majority of codecs built in you see so negates the need for codec packs! Jake
There's a program called GSpot that will tell you what CoDec you need to play any given video or audio clip and whether you have a suitable CoDec installed. Google for GSpot + CoDec

MrRalphMan
GSpot is great.. If you're scared of the Google, get it from the Video Help site.. That way you'll not get a screen full of Very Happy Women..
