b.weeks
Hi all, I've just acquired one of those reversing sensor systems - which I thought would be useful for the gf - that's my excuse anyway ;-) This kit comes with a beeping unit upfront with an on-off switch. Only thing is the Supra has a beeping sound when you put it into reverse anyway! So, I was thinking of wiring up the normal Supra reverse beeper to this unit, so I only have to listen to one reverse sound rather than two - so where is this beeper located? Anyone know? Cheers, Ben.
supRo
I don't think the Supra has a reverse gear beeper as standard!
Ian W
I don't think the Supra has a reverse gear beeper as standard! all jspec's should have this reverse beeper afaik. mine certainly has it and all my passengers ask me "can you hear that outside?!" b.weeks
I know - when I first heard it I thought it sounded like a lorry reversing! I assume - cool - it must have a radar at the back - luckily I didn't rely on that fact ;-) (Yes, mine's a J-spec)
b.weeks
(I figure if I make that beep tell me if there's something close - then it's more useful)

b.weeks
Tricky-Ricky - isn't that to tell you the lights are on? I find that one useful ... Thanks Ian R - means I'm gonna have to take the dash apart again I guess! D'oh! That'll be about the fourth time this month! :-)
Matt Harwood
Not got one on mine, but i do have that bloody annoying door open key in the ignition one, and if i could find it, its hammer time;) Drop the underdash down, (2 10mm bolts at the bottom and unclip the upper half), look at the underside of your ignition barrel and you'll see a small white plug with two cables. Unplug that and your ignition bongs will be a thing of the past And as already said, the reverse beeper is at the back of the clocks. It's a small grey thing that you can simply remove to stop the beeps.
