Darren
I drove a 98 VR6 smooth but slow bit like a old 3 series 2 litre 6 pot BMW.
Gruggs
I used to own a mk4 V6 4motion. They are good cars, nice and comfortable with lots in the car. The acceleration is quick (not supra quick) and basically the car just keeps gaining more and more acceleration. It kinda gets up a head of steam and charges. Speedwise they are as quick as civic type R's just the handling is a wee bit softer so not so firm around corners. Although the car is brilliant for cruising and the 6 speed gearbox is really good. I liked my V6 and only got rid of it to get a supe. hope that helped. any other questions let me know. cheers Graeme

Gruggs
there are aftermarket turbo and supercharger kits available for the V6...alhough due to the v shape they are bloody expensive. i think the supercharger i looked at was 10k...not many options available though..that said the one i looked brought the car up to 450-500bhp...now that would be quick. cheers g

Soonto_HAS_soop
I think there is a 5 cylinder 20v turbo golf. VR6 is only 12 valve though, so not the best start.
DannyW
Ive got an R32 V6 4motion for sale in the other items section on this forum. Cracking car, not bad on fuel and fairly fast too!
Rickeh
I'm pretty sure there's not a 5 cylinder turbo golf, there's a 5 cylinder one called a V5 but it's not a turbo. The turbo's are 1.8 20 valves (plus obviously the diesels) The Golf R32 is 3.2 litre 24 valve. 240bhp or the older shape and 250 for the newer I think. SUCH a beautiful sounding engine tho. SteamAhead
my mate has one of these and i have to admit......a very nice car. Same here, one of my friends has a black VR6 Corrado, really does shift. If ya gonna go for a VW go for one of those. The ultimate one is the Storm version, think the last made was on a N plate (I think). Good ones are becoming rare, so worth taking someone who knows alot about them.
