Soonto_HAS_soop
Originally posted by Jake Cat Temperature Probe ? The cat temp probe is located in the second cat pipe, you have to remove it and tie it up out of the way. Ben..

Soonto_HAS_soop
NO!!! The cat temp sensor is a sensor that is in the 2nd Cat pipe, under the car, it is not in the engine bay!! Whatever that sensor is, it is NOT the cat temp sensor! You remove the Cat temp sensor when you do a full decat! Ben..
colsoop
So that leaves me back at square one. oh well. Whatever it is it doesn't do anything anyway as it isn't plugged in to anything. ill see if i can take a better pic so it is clearer for you. Supra ST Myster
how many wires go to the plug?
Soonto_HAS_soop
It looks as though (after going out to inspect mine) that it is the lambda sensor. Mines a facelift and the wires have no connector and run around to the front of the engine bay not sure if it's different on the non facelifts/VVTis or not. If I am right and it is your lambda sensor, it will be in the downpipe just before the join to the 1st cat pipe. Your photo looks like it was taken at an angle from the front fo the car. Ben.. colsoop
I have taken another pic and highlighted what i think is the lambda sensor running to the front of the car. The sensor i am unsure about, it connects to nothing and has a four pin plug on the end. regards colin.

Soonto_HAS_soop
HHhhhhhmmmmm, yep the one further back is the lambda. Has your car got any sort of modifications on it, did it have any before you got it that might have been removed? I only ask, as that looks like it may be a wideband O2 sensor added into the downpipe. Mine doesn't have that and I wouldn't see what else it could be, it's not an EGT probe. Maybe with that photo, someone a bit more technical may be able to help out. Ben..
