as my name has been mentioned :D i thought i would comment

if i had a fmic i would definately take the grill off

my water temps seem to be ok and i have not noticed any down sides so far, one thing i would say is on the odd spirited drive :innocent: the grill has actually been pushed into the bumper a bit so there is some resistense there :)

Hi Gary

Sorry to name drop but thought as People had seen your lovely Supe they'd know exactly what type of grille,

Sorry if you feel you've been dragged in ..

The ties are a quick mount i agree

Personally though i think it would be better with proper brackets, something i will look into

If Geri is anything like my other half i bet the spirited drives were with her behind the wheel .... ha ha

Us guys would be worrying to much about stone chips... ha ha

Got great footage of the Finale convoy,

If you pm me your address i'll send you a copy, I did Lui a copy

My missus was certainly putting my Supe through its paces on the drive up, But then she is a speed freak!! thats why she chose the RX8 with the Rotary as its revs to 9.5k ... LOL

As its there line of business , would have thought it would be a tried and tested product so no come backs???

Their sister company markets that velocity tuner (30% better fuel economy / 16% higher bhp) pastry cutter thingy. Their line of business is to sell stuff.

I've looked at similar meshes before (combustion air intakes for boats) the holey type one reduces the effective air-in area by close to 40%. The lattice style one is even worse, reducing the available area by around 50%. Open wire mesh is far less restrictive than punched / punched and drawn sheet. I'm not technical when it comes to Supras, but I wouldnt think a 40 / 50% reduction in air-intake area is a good thing.
