Suggestions for a runabout needed!

Recommended Posts

Hello all!

I need suggestions for a car. Must cost less than £3000, have four seats, air con and be "nippy" (lets say 0-100mph in around 20 secs) . My best guess is a 306 GTi. Any other suggestions out there? Unfortunately a NA supe is not an option :(

Cheers, Mark

I hadn't thought about one of the older civics..... I'll have to do some research on hondarevolutions.com.

I did have a look at Integras and Soarers but they are a bit too pricey to run for a runabout. Thanks for the help guys!

3K should get you an N or P reg VTi (1.6 DOHC) or maybe a mint SR (1.6 SOHC), both have Vtec and go well, & return pretty got mpg when driven like ms Daisy but are still fun when given 7000 revs

or a 205 GTI or somthing simaler

Or if you wanted to keep it RWD how about a BMW

Tell you what i was looking at the other day was a S12 (the old silvia), i recon they could look real cool just lowered with a nice set of wheels ....as long as its not that horrible gold colour :D

VW passat, audi a4. both great mpg, we have 5 passats now and theyre all good on petrol and i think the fastest one is 160bhp quite quick too.

youd probably get a decent one for around 3k although for a newer one with all the chrome etc they tend to be 5k +
