JonW Posted September 28, 2006 Share Posted September 28, 2006 I have used up to around 5mm of tread on my rears in the last 3000 miles. The wear is even across the tyre. The tyres are Toyo TS1s. Is this a sign of something wrong with the car or simply that they are fast wearing tyres? p.s. I don't drive like an idiot but I do drive fairly fast if the road conditions allow it. Max Headroom Posted September 28, 2006 Share Posted September 28, 2006 Not being a tyre expert but I would say for a powerful rear wheel drive car that is possibly par for the course, Having even wear is better than uneven wear, I have just changed mine and on the front they were almost bald on the innner rim whilst on the outside rim almost new. JonW Posted September 28, 2006 Author Share Posted September 28, 2006 My geo was done fairly recently. The weird thing is that prior to the Toyos I had Kuhmos on and they lasted around 15K.
