Graham S Posted September 20, 2006 Share Posted September 20, 2006 is it a 16v one mate, i know the car inside and out! more than likely if its a 16v it will the coil pack if its the single 'pencil coils' while its running unplug each one individualy and the if there is one that doesn't make a difference thats your bad one and don't be worries you won't get a shock of those coils, the 8v ones are the twin coils and they still have problems. Again pull each lead off while running to determine which coil it is but this time use proper pullers or something that won't give you a blast. Can give you renault part numbers tomorrow if you need them. 16v pencil coils have come down in price recently and are about 30ish quid each, we tend to do all 4 as once one has gone the other 3 don't tend to last much longer!
