Police crackdown on cruisers

There has been a fair bit of police attention up this end as well - "Ponty Cruise" and "Bradford Cruise" in particular, I've not been to either but read their forums to keep an eye on the fools.

Both cruises have been given ASBOs and the Bradford one is being dealt with under "Operation Wrench" - LOL!

As long as they continue to appreciate that there is a difference between what we do at meets and what they do I think it's a good thing.

Leeds Cruize (why oh why do they need the 'Z'?) doesn't seem to have been a target yet, from what I can gather they only sit in McDonalds anyway and most of their club members can't drive :)

Naa, you'll only be affected if you turn up in hundreds and start hooning about. 30-40 is classed as a big supra meet, and there's never any police at Squires when there are hundreds of cars and bikes.

The police know the difference between a sensible car club meet and a load of barry twats.

I do remember a Bluewater meet many years ago, where a few guys started racing round the roads, and pulling burnouts. The police turned up pretty sharpish to that and I felt pretty ashamed that happened.

We had a case at one of the southend meets once, unfortunately our assembly point co`insided with some chavs who made a bit of noise on leaving the car park, shortly after the old bill arrived, accepting that it wasnt us but still made us move on.
