R34 GTR i can bring these in now

A guy I know here had one of his R34's brought into the UK a couple of weeks ago as a personal import. The engine has had quite a bit of work done to it, and it took 12 attempts to get through emmisions on the less strict SVA rather than the ESVA.

has to be standard

poo.... not a problem. im sure i can find a very cheap one with virtually nothing done to it.

how much extra does it cost to get through the tests and registration here mate? as i will need to budget in for that too.

If they're only 15,000 - 20,000 in Jp, how come they're gonna be so much more when they're over here ?, i'm a bit lost. (Change "lost" for "thick" if you like).

Tax and shipping 20k in jp + say 2k shipping and insuance

= 22* 10% import duty * 17.5% vat = 28k add some cost of sva or what ever jurgan does with them and and 20k car in japan becomes a 30k uk car

Plus, unless Jurgen has recently become a charity, I'm fairly sure he'd like to make a little bit of money for himself! ;)

lol yes their is tax and duty on the pice of car shipping uk customs, esva and to register is around 4k.

if somebody wants an r34 i can work to their budget, but for my stock they have to be grade 4 and must be standard to pass pointless getting a lower grade as it will fail esva and other tests.

so basically the car has to be in near immac condition.
