chilli
Simplistically for me it works like this: cost of car = £500, average life = 2 years = 250 per year. insurance approx 200 per year maintenance (I do the minimum to keep it on the road) 200 per year abs max tax approx 100 total = 750 per year = approx £15 per week, I spend roughly £30 per week on fuel in the run around, in the supra it would be at least double + it would get knackered real quick (dents, scratches, wear and tear, miles etc) so the saving is clear as day for me I think
Bobbeh
I'd be interested to know about which car insurance companies support 'mirroring' or 2 cars in 1 policy.

supRo
I'd be interested to know about which car insurance companies support 'mirroring' or 2 cars in 1 policy. Sky, Elephant and RAC - also consider 'Classic' car policy as you don't use up your NCB: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=81168

Darren
Fiesta for the money is a V reg, Polo is a R and 106 is a S so around the 98-99 plates More importantly the 106 and Fiesta would have no more that 55,000 on the clock with the Polo coming in at around 75,000 miles for the money I paid £2k 2.5 years ago for a 1998 Pug 106 with 45k on the clock. Surely you can get a newer one now!
