brian73united
Hi all i have a set of 19 inch crs and the rear passenger side is catching on the wheel arch mostly when i have a passenger with me, or when i'm going over slight bump on the road. I have changed the upper wishbone as it was shot. Does anyone know of what could be causing this cheers for looking.
RobSheffield
some wider 19" wheels need the inner stiffening rib grinding away or bending out of the way. what width wheels are they? other than that id say dont carry passengers or go over bumps
brian73united
They are 265, 30 it's only one side that does it as it was both sides then i would understand that i may have to get the arches rolled
David C
Having gone for 19s I'm in exactly the same situation. Can't promise this is the answer but I've been diagnosed as having the spring on the offending side having lost its errr (forgotten the techy term) spring. Have you tried measuring from the centre of the wheel to the top of the wheel arch? Mine was 3/4" lower on one side! New rear springs sorted in a couple of weeks time. If it works I'll let you know, if not I'll still be avoiding bumps.................

hodge
Ive got 275/30/19s on mine and had the same problem. I took it to work and used a polifan to polish away the lip inside the arch. this was only after I spend a fortune on 4 new struts thinking this would cure the porblem. Using a polifan took around 10mins to do both sides. Whne I got home I undersealed them andpainted um to keep the job right. But if I have the car full of people, which aint often if I hi t a big dip in the road the still catch abit but as I said only on a full load.
