absz
i think that the c spanner is a standard size which most motorbike shops will store.
Soonto_HAS_soop
If they've been on for a while, don't expect them to want to move. I had to remove my spring platforms with a hacksaw and clean the threads up as they had corroded themselves to the main body. I now keep them covered in copper grease at all times. C Spanners are available from Demon Tweaks too.
SUPRASUZUKI
Sorry for th thread hi-jack. Where did you get your new spring platforms / locking rings from? I've got the same issue on mine.
Soonto_HAS_soop
Got a pair imported from Dusty and got a pair that Andy had lying around at Sumopower. About £40 for a pair, that's for the lock nut and the spring platform.

Very Carefully LOL! I hacksawed down to just above the thread on the shock body on both sides of the shock. Then I got a chissel and hit the edge of one of the cuts, this then split the ring and with a few gentler taps with the chissel and hammer they came off. Just got to be careful not to go too deep when cutting into the rings or you can damage the threads. They aren't made of the strongest of materials.
