gaz1
from this thread, http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=78773 when i went on my holiday i switched the power off on the router, as was away a week , and now i am back switched it back on and the desktop its wired to works fine, but my laptop keeps telling me no wireless connections available, so run a fault finding program and it says network cable unplugged, but i did not unplug nothing just switched the plug off, grrrrr i am going mad with these bloody things:(

MrRalphMan
Give up dude.. go back to pen and paper.. What is saying that a network cable is unplugged? If the PC is happily accessing the net via the router, then the internet connection is ok. This leave the wireless settings, have you checked these to see if they are ok and haven't been screwed by the router being off (They shouldn't have). SUPRALOOPY
turn the laptop off and on again..if that don't work right click on the wireless icon in the bottom right of your screen, choose repair it should disable the the wirless card and release the ip address then re apply for a new one. SUPRALOOPY
if that don't work, log into your router and check its not reset itself and denied access to wireless connections.

SUPRALOOPY
sorry m8 but without being there i can't sort it..as all the IT blokes here will agree. you could try remote assistance but i doubt that would help as it would reset the connection when trying to sort the problem. You mentioned a HAMMER earlier?
