suprarob
Theres no mention of a pollen filter in the uk hand book. I,m sure if the supra had one it would have mentioned this in there
Terminator
My guess is it does not have one, otherwise advertising blurb would have made something of it.
Kopite
simple test - put me in a supe and see if i start crying my eyes out or itching like crazy at anytime !! i HATE hayfever, mine gets that bad they have to pump me full of steroids otherwise i can't to outside! :looney:
Syed Shah
Yep - mine too. Which is why I want to see what filter it has. If it lacks a pollen filter, it will have a normal filter of some sort, question is where? OT I know, but have you tried the desensitisation injections? Wipeout
Has anyone found out if the Sup has a pollen filter or any filter for that matter?
Syed Shah
No filter, pollen or otherwise. Checked this with the US Toyota suppliers, there is no P/N for them, so its not there. I wonder where it draws air from though? If I found out, I could simply stuff a filter in, not a perfect solution, but would do the job.
JohnA
sorry to bump this up, but I wonder if anything new has been discovered since (lol...) I don't get this --- how can the car have no pollen filter, it's even got sunlight sensor FFS...
Syed Shah
Well, the whole unit thing is under the dash on the PS (remove glovebox etc), and, it has a nice bit of moulded plastic where on a Soarer, you have the cutout for the replaceable pollen filter. So, same unit without capability for pollen filter, sure you could cut the mould and stick a Soarer one in, but I am not too keen on trying it I have to admit. JohnA
Nah, I wouldn't improvise like this with inaccessible parts. If the car hasn't got a pollen filter, so be it. I'm not allergic anyway, just making sure that there's no dirty, clogged filter sitting somewhere in the car since the day it left the factory...
