SUPRACHRIS
When driving my overdrive light sometimes flashes at me when overdrive is on, anyone else had this problem?
Aerotop Dave
A search on 'overdrive light' throws up lots of useful threads for this
SUPRACHRIS
Yeah cheers for that, does seem to be bad delimiting hopefully, as the engine management light comes on as well sometimes, then goes off as does the o/d light (strange).

Yeah, mine does the same thing very occasionally. I believe the o/d light indicates a transmission fault, and doesn't speed sensor 1 come off the gear box? In any case, you can tell if that's the problem as the cruise control (if fitted) stops working and the steering becomes very light. James. JamesG
It will probably be spliced into the main ECU loom in the passenger footwell. James.
THOR Racing
Almost always 99% the speedo conversion carried out on the car. Sometimes 1% it's the odometer output drive that fails Either way my converter fixes all these issues TRL DSC Regards Pete

Chris, I had the same problem with mine shortly after I first got it. Turned out to be a faulty cheapo SLD. It's been just fine since I replaced it with one from TRL. SUPRACHRIS
Had a look at the error code on the ECU and it came up with 42 which is the speed sensor 1, so it is pretty much garrantied to be that. Cheers everyone
THOR Racing
Without Jap import cars the error code ALWAYS refers to (99%) the fault in the speedo signal path or the converter. I've never known a speed sensor to be at fault! Regards Pete
