SatNav recommendations?

well i have the tomtom1, and i can't fault it at all.

That said, my boss has got the TT510 and I've had a look, its got a better resolution screen (and "widescreen) which is an improvement, but the unit is more bulky than my TT1, and I love the fact mines so small and compact.

Depends what you're after really, do you need features like built-in bluetooth handsfree, european maps, touch screen etc?

TomTom One here also, as Pablo said the size of it compared to the other TomTom's makes it my favourite. I love my speed camera alerts too :)

I've also tried alot of the other satnavs and I can't say any came close to the TomTom.

i just couldnt get on with the non-touch screen versions. Buttons are tricky to use if on the move (and i know you shouldnt use it while on the move, but everyone does....even if just to turn volume down/up) - and the ones which used a stylus were just silly!

TomTom1 can be picked up for circa £220 brand new, with warranty. :)

Colleague here has the Road Angel thingy, and it's bloody slow - took about 20 seconds to plan a thirty mile route. Tomtom took about 2 seconds.

Plus the touch screen is much more responsive on the Tomtom.

Thanks for the input guys and Ark you've just settled it for me :)

G10ECK always interested in a deal so a price would be cool :)

So out of the TomTom range is there much difference?

I doubt that i will be using it outside of the UK although there is perhaps a small chance of it being used in Europe (but that is very small and nothing planned so if the european maps can be added on later then i would probably go for that)

features wise more the better, bluetooth would be good and i think they all have touch screen dont they?

also how are they powered? can they be used with their own power supply or is it a cig lighter job?
