geoffvalenti
They let you have the flare back! They obviously had nothing better to do. Probably if the car is well known, they're trying to get the message across to other young people in the area, and a picture of them in your mates car does the job very well. Be honest, if they'd had just come up and asked to pose for a pic "owning " the car, I bet the last word of your answer would have been "off" I've been there myself, so I know what its like. When I was 19 (yeah, I know ages ago ) I had a Jaguar XJ6. In those days, quite a respectable car, and certainly not what your average 19 year old was driving. At the time, I had long hair right down my back, and 3 mates in the car all in leather jackets etc. We got pulled for no reason, just because we didn't look like the type of people to legally own such a car. They put us in a police car, and one of them drove my car to the station. We were kept there until my parents got home so they could verify that it was my car. Afterwards they didn't even say sorry It didn't leave me with a good impression of the police, but obviously they weren't to know the car hadn't been stolen without doing some checks. These days, if they saw some unlikely characters in a Supra, I'd hope they'd pull it over in case it was mine

These days, if they saw some unlikely characters in a Supra, I'd hope they'd pull it over in case it was mine haha at the long hair down your back made me laugh i suppose but its only a mazda 323 gtr, and its not really something that looks suspicious and the driver and passenger (well i hope not) but we dont look very suspicious or up to no good. i suppose if they had apologised for the mistake it would have been better or admitted the fact they were wrong. all they said was "weve made some enquiries and your free to go with no charge. by the way my mate was wearin joggers.. and becuase it had a draw cord that wouldnt come out they made him take them off and get into some stupid trousers. understand that someone may wish to hang themselves while locked up or whatever, but it was a stupid thing so dont know why they were being so harsh. what would you say is an unlikely character? i mean supras are not exclusive to the higher class or the ones with gloves tights and a tweed hat are they? no offence meant there at all though! MrRalphMan
It would be nice of the paper to print your side of it, as it prob looks well dodgy to anyone that knows you or your car. If you see plenty of people crossing the road when you walk down the street, you'll know why.

Mike
did you not think calling yourself (A)K47 and driving a soop might catch up with you one day..? what do you have a flare in the car for anyway? in case you get lost on one of those tricky off-road outings..? I've got a degree in psychology you know....
