Andrew
Anyone know where the speed sensor is located? Did a diagnostic test and got engine code 42 flashing back at me.
Ian C
The sensor is on top of the gearbox. You may be able to reach it by removing all teh gearstick surround trim. -Ian

s3upra
Had a little experience of this code!!!! Usually due to duff de-limiter,bad-dry solder joints on odometer or problem with active spoiler-mine had all three-wasnt i lucky! As they all use the speed signal they are all suspects.None are too scary to investigate-see previous threds. good luck.
Andrew
Hmmm active spoiler would make sense, seems this error code only comes on when I'm going fast, i.e. over 60 when the spoiler comes down. Never thought of that s3upra thanks I'll check the delimiter wires too, just to make sure there's no dodgey conections.
