Auto or Manual?

I am looking to buy a twin turbo supra. I would like to be able to modify and tinker with it as much as possible as it will be a car I will be keeping for a period of time as a hobby/ project car and don't want to buy something that is limited and that I will get bored of. I Would like to be able to set the car up for 1/4 mile and drifting and obviously a bit of social showing. As experienced owners would you suggest a specific model and should i go for manual or auto? My friends all drive skylines, but I prefer the supras loooks.

both great but if you want to do proper drifting isn't a manual a must have?

Drifting is not so important to me, more interested in fast times and looking good.

you're more likely to look good in an auto, the manual gives you more chances to mess it up lol

If you get the chance mate take a drive in both as I did and was supprised by the auto as it's a very capable box. I have owned a manual and now an auto, so which do I prefer ?
