flyin_scouseman
Hi all, recently uprated the J-Spec supe for a few extra ponies. Now i need some stoppers for my motor.... problem is, i don't know what callipers will fit. I been told by the previous owner that the UK spec brakes will not fit my Blitz 18" wheels due to the offset of the wheel. Can anyone on here tell me how to measure the offset of the wheel so i can use these details for the selection and purchase of a pukka set of callipers and disks? any help would be greatly appreciated Cheers, Andy. Nic
Andy the easiest way to check if they'll fit the bigger brakes, would be to try your wheels on someone elses car who has them fitted already. Alternatively you could use this cross section of the front 4 pot caliper and hub and measure the clearance you have. I've supplied loads of members with the bigger brakes, so if you would like more details/prices give me a shout. http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/5302/brakeclearancediagram2jh4.jpg
Rayman
Offset is often printed on the inside of the rim somewhere, could help you find out whether the uk's will fit under or not, its to do with the shape of the spokes on the wheel as well as the offset as to wether theyll fit, so as Nic says often best to just try em on a supe with uk brakes already!
