Tricky-Ricky
Anyone else having trouble with the water temp sensor? depending on setting it either reads 0 or 138C just can't get it to work on any of the drop down settings, i suspect it might need an adaptor, also can't get the ign timing feature to work either, i'm using the cam and crank angle inputs and it will see RPM if select ignition signal, but no timing? also the Japanese part of the manual seems to cover the data logging in detail but nothing in the English translation? managed to get the new data sampling map working with AFR but can't manipulate it, overlay or such like? Tricky-Ricky
Also forgot to add that the target AFR map won't work without the water temp reading right! any suggestions? Ian, Matt?

Ian C
Anyone else having trouble with the water temp sensor? depending on setting it either reads 0 or 138C just can't get it to work on any of the drop down settings, i suspect it might need an adaptor, Mine reads OK but it's baseline calibration is way off, apparently I'm at full temp by about 55degC. There is a jumper setting for this as well as a software setting, have you checked that? also can't get the ign timing feature to work either, i'm using the cam and crank angle inputs and it will see RPM if select ignition signal, but no timing? Feed it a TACH or IGF signal, it's pants at reading those inputs, I tried once and gave up as I got no RPM signal at all. The 'actual timing' data I get at the moment is all over the shop as well, but the timing changes you make is applied just fine. also the Japanese part of the manual seems to cover the data logging in detail but nothing in the English translation? managed to get the new data sampling map working with AFR but can't manipulate it, overlay or such like? No idea what that means I use datalogging for datalogging, I've never used the target AFR stuff. I don't trust it's limited selection of O2 sensors that no-one else seems to use for a start. -Ian
Tricky-Ricky
I have just heard that the V 2.0 update that i'm using has a bug, so that could be my problem, i will revert back to the V14.0 i'm pretty sure that i set the jumpers 13 & 14 for water and knock respectively but i'l double check, I initially feed it the Ign feedback signal, but i wanted to log the timing and for that you need the cam & crank angle, it has no problems with an RPM signal for maps with this set up but no timing log, As for data logging i am trying to find out if it has any extended features like the Innovate which i am used to, would make it essayer to correlate the two;) I am feeding the EMU with a calibrated narrow band signal, and there is an option for calibrating the incoming signal on the EMU so it should be able to come up with a reasonable target AFR map providing you can fudge the water temps
