CJ
My friend the artist wants to scan about 30 A3 pencil drawings to save as j-pegs or PDF. She needs these to send to a couple of publishers to see if they would like to sell her work as prints with her getting commision. She has been quoted £5 per scan plus a small charge to put them on CD. Does anyone know of an A3 scanner out there that she could buy that would be more cost effective? edd_t
A3 scanners are pretty exspenive, usually about £1000+ check these out http://uk.insight.com/apps/nbs/index.php?K=a3&lang=en-gb&C=106&S=1037&M=&SB=plh

BASHTHEBISHOP
Sounds expensive to me. We get scans done at work often and A3s cost about 1.50 a go but thats with national accounts in place with printing firms.

The silly thing is I have only recently resigned as the MD of a large printing company. maybe I could make a few calls and ask a few favours? Ben-san
£5 per scan? Crickey. That equates to a silly rate per hour, considering it should only take 2 minutes per scan. She'd spend far less money having it biked over to me where I can do it for free.
Branners
blimey, I need to make better use of the print/scan units at work if I could charge that much just for scanning. CJ, are the originals shippable? JB
