Mine was doing this a few days ago. I replaced the plugs and all was fine.

It was doing it on acceleration too though. So maybee a different thing?

With my de-cat Hiper system you can constantly get it to back pop if you kinda hold the revs constant whilst not actually accelerating at around 2-3K rpm. But you have to be using slight engine braking aswell. But its good to hear it, its what a proper sports car should sound like !

I never get any popping or banging.

I've got both cats out, full NUR specR, and removed the baffle. Also got the turbo's running in true twin so the butterfly flap in the downpipe is wired open all the time (very loud even on tickover!!).

Mine scare shit outta me, even when I'm expecting it. From inside the car it sounds like someone firing a shotgun, god knows what it sounds like from outside!

Can be caused by mixture problems or an airleak into the exhaust, but often "just happens" on systems with minimal silencing.

Its a cool sound :D

If you really give the car some stick it helps to get some heat into the exhaust and then all the unburnt fuel ignites in the exhaust, good for the occasional flame as well.

Great on trackdays when you are going through the pit lane :music:
