Guest mk47
my engine ECU? ive got an apexi pencil style turbo timer and want to have a crack at fitting it, anyone done this before? any tips? is it hard?
LeeT
why do you want to know where the ECU is? Just buy a plug and play harness which on most cars will just plug in behind the ignition switch. Admittedly i've never fitted one to a supra though
LeeT
oh and the ECU is under the passenger footwell carpet
Ben-san
Be careful down there Maz... it's a world of pain if something decides to severe(sp?). If you have to splice in, keep the main lines in tact for continuity. Then you can always remove extra gubbins without hacking too much into the loom. Guest mk47
seems like too much work for me to do and too much of a risk to fuck up. iv just took the dash off but i cant even see the bloody harness from the ignition switch? apparently i wouldnt need to wire it to the ecu if i dont want the feature of battery voltage etc. anyone know where the ignition switch harness is? its simple that way, jus plug the harness into the apexi, that into where the original harness goes, and ground it to the handbrake. Ben-san
infact how can i remove the air duct underneath the steering wheel? It's bendy dude. Ease it out, it's not screwed down, just wedged between two pipes.
