just wanted to know the stats on this turbo set up..........

I have tried and failed on getting info on the net on the turbos...

all i what yo know is A,are they any good, B, what would be their max hp, C,any info about them would be great.....

All the pics are from the car as it was built in japan before i bought it...

@ the moment the acuators are opening 45% and that is produceing 450hp(CRANK) would it be safe to increase this to say 75%.....

Im all questions with no answers, just looking for as much help i can possibly get.........................................;)

car came into ireland with a list from japan of: pistons, con rods, hks ecu, hks clutch, hks turbos, boost controller, intercooler, oil cooler, and more....

Reguarding the pistons and con rods these are the ones than im unsure about(cant see them) but everything else is all there.

Any idea with the turbo set up i have????????????????????????????????

Not a clue mate, wait until the car is with you and as Lee has stated dont go increasing the Boost until you know what supporting fuelling mods have been put into place.

Take it to one of the tuners reccomneded and get it checked out throughly.

what injectors would be required for above 550bhp ( saying i do have the pistons and rods changed)...

Stock pistons and rods can handle way more than your 550bhp target, so if they've already been changed i wouldnt worry about it. ;)

hopefully the pistons are uprated . . .

but getting back on track is their any info on the spec of the 2 turbos i have, even though it says garrett on the turbo their are hks accuators on both tubbies, does that count for anything..........

so upgraded injectors if i went for the 650cc would the walbro pump be sufficiant, i think the 12volt fuel pump mod might be worth doin the weekend

yes unleaded 95ron is what 99.9% of petrol shops sell, when i dyno'd i had unleaded plus a octane booster in. at that i ran 450bhp(crank) at .9 or 1bar, that was 2 months ago and the fear of running 95ron has made me turn down the boost to .5 - .6 (hard to tell)

until i get the car mapped their is no point trying to kill it on high boost all of the time.... just me being careful.......

is the car still reliable at that level in its stock form

Depends how you mean stock. Obviously for 550bhp you have various supporting mods for the turbos (if they are capable of that sort of figure). Stock rods and pistons have been known to handle nearer 1000bhp fine, and i think some of the guys in the states are running even more on stock internals. Tbh, you need to get a good tuner to check out what you've actually got before you start looking at achieving 550bhp. You may well not need to do much!

i under stand all that, but being in ireland a good tuner is hard to come by... also having a hks ecu isnt helping anything either.... one tuner in ireland said : that ecu is adaptive no need to map for 95ron a waste of time..:Pling: ..... to me that translated as : i dont have a clue......

I might be wrong here but from looking at the info on the site here its clear that mapping a supra is important....

Mapping is all about getting everything working at its optimum for the particular setup. So getting the map to suit the cars modifications is important yes. I would strongly suggest a weekend over here when you get the car, and maybe book it in with one of the club tuners. Least you'l know its been done and the car is running ok. Buying a tuned car blind is a risky game. It could be perfect or it could be half botched and not setup right. Last thing you want is the dreaded det and a holy piston.
