1.2 bar with 1 cat in

I still have my first cat in but with an HKS/TDI second cat pipe and a Veilside exhaust. I had 1.2 bar boost in 3rd in the cold weather and 1.2 in 4th now - any other combos of decat pipe and exhaust and the boost you get ? I'm guessing that this is high boost for 1 cat still in and due to the lagre dia. straight piping (of my bits)

Are you running a boost controler? I have a straight through zaust with no cats and a Blitz boost controler. When i set it on channel 4 (maximum level) I get around 1.2 bar with peaks of 1.3 in the cold weather.

No Boost controller - just my foot and my Defi beeping !

If I am at 1.2 bar anyway I cant see the point of a boost controller - don't want to restrict and then raise boost ?

Am going up to Leon this afternoon to get 1st cat out CW restrictor ring and fuel pump done - and I feel some clear front indicators coming on...

If your getting 1.2 with the first cat still in you will definitely get more with it out. Get Leon to change the restrictor ring. I got 1.4 to 1.5 bar without the restrictor ring and still on very cold mornings I get that, but normally I get 1.2 max.

what he said as the first cat is the most restrictive. im pretty sure leon will advise you not to run above 1.2bar anyway so will sort the restrictor ring out for you

Absolutely :) Leon provided me with the restrictor ring and then tested the car to make sure it was the right one.
