Guest Lucy
Thanks Guys and Clarkey lol dunno what my fiance will have to say about that hee hee heeeee supposed to be getting married to him next year lol and he doest have a supra damn lol But he brings home lots of nice cars as he sells them lol (not supras though unfortunately) Still love the supras shame I am not sure I could handle one yet I like to drive fast and enjoy the bends and in the wet might have been a bit of a no no for me. Will hae to wait till I am a granny and drive slower then get myself a nice supra lol then I will be safe if I dont drive too quick in the wet. I wish I could have one though But I do love my new FTO just had to shed out an absolute packet on new tyres though.

Lucy x I had an FTO for over 2 years, And you know what what ... i'd have another tomorrow like a shot, As an everyday use car package they are excellent cars, I can honestly say i could not fault the car, and in someways it is better than the Supra, The fto was very much ahead of its time with its technoloy, It had Tiptronic before Porsche !!! and the Autobox has a self learning brain that adapts to your driving style Ok Good performance for a 2.0 litre with no turbo, but you need to drive in Tip to make it really go and with Aston Martin / Jag XK looks , very economical the list goes on ... oh and a proper boot, But this will suprise you.... You should have bought a N/A Supra .............. why????? Simple reason ... insurance because the Supra cost me £150.00 a year less to insure than the FTO, (fully comp) i'm 39 Have max 9+ years NCB Insurance is always Fully comp + protected Clean lincense When i had the FTO last year, for just another £10.00 per year on my premium i could insure a TT Supra !!! Fully comp + protected work that out The FTO is grp 20 ( unless you have the pathetic 4cyl 1.8) I currently insure my Supra for £297.00 fully comp protected with a Cat 2 Thatcham Imobiliser fitted... blitz supra
Cheers Mate My car is a rare V reg 2000 manual fto in silver its the GX sports model. 2ltr 24 valve engine Sounds Nice , you won't be disapointed and the club scene is superb, You can get great dress up parts too look on http://www.type-f.co.uk/store/index.php Great Alloy dash parts Rings dials etc FTO owners lavish on their cars and really seem to love them i found in the 2years i owned one , I find the Supra guys are just into power and unless you have a TT not interested ... totally different people to the FTO club, who lavish money on the FTO as its such a fantastic looking car, i came across many TV celebs at meets andshows that own and FTO Steel silver was the best, but you must have the later pinky Symphonic silver??? Never got to drive a Manual one, but the Tip model was great ( best of both worlds) Mivec isn't that important as the performance is the same until you hit 8000 rpm then you get another 20bhp ... but who drives at 8000rpm . So not worth the extra money and insurance... Hard ride in standard but need to be lowered by around 25mm, but beware when you lower and uprate them the ride is bloody hard!!!! trust me the Supra after my FTO was like driving on a bouncy castle FTO responds really well to Induction kit.... and the V6 growl with a filter on is just adictive
